The Perfect Itinerary

An exclusive France adventure where you will experience the unique regions of Alsace, Burgundy, and Provence. Experience a day with an Alsacian wine Sommelier at an award winning Alsacian wine producer, nature walks combined with wine tasting and lunch at an authentic country French restaurant, truffle hunting and wine tasting in the famous Burgundy region, picnic in the vineyards, gastronomy walk, gourmet meals, see Lyon’s artists implementing ancestral hand painted techniques on silk, see France’s oldest Roman ruins, enjoy the breathtaking lavender fields of Provence and much, much more. This adventure is a real treat!

For all itineraries we reserve the right to make adjustments and changes as needed. Below is a summary of the itinerary.


Day 1: Arrival and Welcome Reception

Arrive into Colmar, France with its charming tutor style architecture with Amsterdam like canals. For your Welcome Reception we will be dining at the Brasserie within the historical Hotel La Maison des Têtes. It is recommended to arrive early to get familiar with your surroundings.

Day 2: Alsacian day with a sommelier and Strasbourg

A day of Alsacian wines, food and history. Led by France’s 2014 Sommelier of the year, we will visit a famous Alsace winery established in 1610, picnic in the vineyard, and dine in Strasbourg that evening.


Day 3: Off to Burgundy for truffle hunting & opulent culture

You will visit the world renowned village Vosne Romanée and visit a family owned truffle farm and winery for truffle hunting with truffle dogs. You will be rewarded for your efforts with a delectable truffle & wine tasting. Afterwards we will visit the famous “Hotel Particuliers” in Dijon, usually closed to the public. You will dive into the history of Dijon and its most famous families.

Day 4: A day in Beaune

After breakfast your driver will take us to the beautiful city of Beaune, capital of Burgundy wines. We will visit the hospices (former hospital), now home to France’s famous wine auction. In the early evening you will enjoy a gastronomy walk to enjoy cheese & wine tasting in traditional Hess fromagerie and delicious treats of this region.


Day 5: NATURE walk and wine tasting IN BURGUNDY

Today you will meet with our wine expert who will lead us on a nature walk through small paths that link the villages of Pommard, Volnay, Meursault and Beaune. Along the way you will wine taste, see ancient houses, castles and vaults, as well as, dine at an authentic countryside restaurant. A day not to miss!

Day 6: Visit of Pérouges and Lyon

Today we head to the bustling historical city of Lyon. Along the way we will stop at the impressive medieval city of Pérouges. The town has ancient architecture, and is known for its specialty, the sugar tart! After arriving into Lyon there will be time to meander the city on your own and meet up with the group for a traditional dinner at a “Bouchon Lyonnais”, a restaurant that serves traditional Lyonnaise cuisine.


Day 7: A day exploring Lyon’s Roman ruins, traboules and silk workshops

Ah, Lyon. Today our Lyon expert will guide us on a visit to the Fourviére Basilique church with breathtaking views of Lyon, explore France’s oldest Roman theatre, explore Lyon’s famous architectural traboules, and discover the ancestral techniques used by the silk workers, as well as hand-painting.   A unique savoir-faire!


Day 8: Avignon, in the heart of Provence

In the morning your driver will take us to the city of Avignon located in the heart of Provence. You will have time to explore the river front town of Avignon, see the Pope’s Palace and roam the historical streets. For dinner you’ll enjoy an authentic Provençal dinner.


Day 9: A day in Provence and picnic in lavender fields

You awaken to beautiful Provence! Your Provence expert will take us on an exploration to discover the magic of Provence, its historical towns, its vineyards, its olive trees, its fresh scents from the lavender fields, and its colors. With our Provence expert you will visit the small rocky Provençal villages: Gordes, Les Baux do Provence, and Gigondas. You will enjoy a picnic of fresh and local ingredients in the heart of the lavender fields surrounded by hues of purple, the air fragrant of lavender in bloom … the spirit of Provence! You will finish the evening with a farewell Provençal dinner.

Day 10: Farewell

Parting is such sweet sorrow, but today is farewell and you can head home with a carry-on bag full of memories! Your chauffeur will take you to the train station for your comfy, first class, high-speed train ride back to Paris. Thank you for joining us! We love traveling with you!
